The region has a thriving arts and crafts community. Artists, writers, poets, musicians, singers, film-makers and craftspersons all contribute to the rich cultural fabric of this unique area.
A number of significant cultural events are held regularly in the region, including Australia Day celebrations, Youth Week, Seniors Week, the Braidwood and Bungendore Quilt Events, and the Majors Creek Festival (www.majorscreekfestival.org).
On the back of the success of the recent Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council Art Trail and Clearwater Sculpture Prize, QPRC would love to make contact with artists, makers and craftspeople in the region.
QPRC would also like to hear about and help promote cultural-arts events in our region, so please get in touch!
As part of Councils commitment to cultural development, a regular cultural-arts email newsletter is distributed which promotes and highlights cultural events, exhibitions, projects, etc. in our very creative region. We are currently updating our database and would love to include all those community members who have an interest in all things cultural and creative.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and type ‘Cultural Emails’ in the subject line and we will add you to our database.
Be among the first to hear about community art projects, funding opportunities, open studios and workshops, festivals, exhibitions and competitions in our region.
