Can I go to a Council meeting?

The public is welcome at Ordinary Council meetings, which are held at Braidwood Council Chambers (Park Lane) on the second Thursday of the month and at Bungendore, Community Centre (2 Majara St) on the fourth Thursday of the month. The meetings commence at 6.00pm.

There may be occasions when Council has to move into closed Committee of the Whole, and the press and public are excluded. You would normally know when this is going to happen, because notice is given of Council's intention. However, there are rare occasions when a matter arises that is considered urgent and then Council will move into closed Committee without the procedure of notice being given.
