What about letters regarding general matters or specific requests?

All correspondence to Council which is intended for inclusion in the Business Paper should be received in sufficient time prior to the Ordinary Meeting for the matter to be researched and a report written.

The General Manager, in consultation with the relevant Manager, will decide whether to include your letter in the Business Paper, either in full as an attachment, or in part, or summarised within the report. If you have made a specific request in your letter, you will be advised of the outcome after the meeting.

If your letter could be considered a submission to Council's draft Management Plan for the forthcoming year, it will be held by the General Manager until such time as Council considers public submissions of the Plan, usually the June meeting each year. Other letters will be acknowledged where required and detailed responses will be provided by staff.
