FAQs
What happens to letters about a development application that is on public exhibition? If you want to comment on a development application that has been advertised publicly, or you have been notified as an adjoining owner, your letter must be received by the date specified in the public exhibition period. It will be submitted to Council as part of a report from the relevant staff member, and Council will consider the reasons you have set out in your letter, as either objection or support for the application. Your letter may be included as an attachment to the business paper, or may be summarised within the report to Council. Council will then determine whether to approve or reject the development application.
