Main Road 92 Upgrade - Nowra to Nerriga - 22 Feb 2008 The first stage of the $80 million upgrade of Main Road 92 comprising the 24km section from Hames Road west to Morton National Park, has been open to traffic since May last year. The final bitumen sealing of this section is scheduled to commence by the end of this month and will take approximately one week to complete. Motorists are advised to expect delays to traffic and drive with additional care on the new work until line marking is completed. more .. Celebrate Australia Day 2008 in Palerang - 17 Jan 2008 Plans are well underway to celebrate Australia Day on Saturday, 26 January 2008 throughout Palerang. Events will be held in Captains Flat starting at 10am in the Community Hall (Foxlow St); then in Braidwood starting at midday at the Rotunda in Ryrie Park (Wallace St) and lastly in Bungendore starting at 2pm at the Council Chambers (10 Majara Street). Federal and State Funding for Water and Sewerage Systems - 10 Oct 2007 In an unexpected windfall, Palerang Council was given a guarantee of much-needed funding of $3.3m each from the Federal and NSW State Governments to build a new sewerage system in Braidwood. This follows lengthy debate and lobbying by Council over the past two years to replace the ageing system. more ..
