Council Rating and Revenue Raising Manual

The Council Rating and Revenue Raising Manual is aimed at assisting councils in the development of rating structures and in interpreting the rating provisions of the Local Government Act 1993.
The Manual was originally released in November 2005, and has been updated to reflect various legislative changes as well as incorporating the suggestions for improvement which were received from Rating Professionals Inc and others. The Department of Local Government has advised that the revised version is available electronically and can be found in the Publications section of the Department's website at www.dlg.nsw.gov.au A summary of the sections where notable changes have been made can also be found in that area.
