Seniors Week 2008 celebrations
Council is sponsoring two events to celebrate Seniors Week from 6 - 13 April 2008. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Seniors Week and the theme is "Live Life".
All senior citizens throughout the Palerang area are invited to attend the celebrations.
The first event is a luncheon to be held at the Outsiders Cafe in Captains Flat on Tuesday, 8 April, commencing at 12 noon. If you would like to attend, you must put your name on the attendance list at the Captains Flat General Store as soon as possible for catering purposes.
The second event is a luncheon to be held at the Bungendore Bowling Club on Thursday, 10 April, commencing at 12 noon. Transport by bus from Braidwood to Bungendore and return is available. Entertainment by students from the Bungendore Primary School will make the day even more enjoyable for senior citizens. If you would like to attend, you must put your name on the attendance list at either the Bungendore office (10 Majara St) or the Braidwood office (144 Wallace St) for catering purposes.
